1-Bit Rogue is a straightforward roguelike game that takes players back to the retro era with its monochrome graphics and simple pixel art. The game also features a chiptune soundtrack that perfectly captures the nostalgic feel of the PSG sound chip.

In terms of gameplay, 1-Bit Rogue offers a 50-floor randomized dungeon where players must face off against dragons and collect valuable artifacts. One unique aspect of the game is the decay mechanic, where weapons gradually deteriorate with use and eventually break if their durability reaches zero.

Players have the option to choose from five different classes, each with its own distinct playstyle. Whether you prefer sneaky tactics as a ninja or a more straightforward approach with other classes, the game offers a variety of gameplay options.

Additionally, 1-Bit Rogue includes a final boss battle and an epic ending, adding a satisfying conclusion to your adventure.

Playing the game is intuitive, as players can use the virtual D-pad to move their character in four directions. Skipping a turn is as simple as long-tapping on the screen. Leveling up can be achieved by using coins, which can be accessed through the level up menu located at the bottom left of the title screen.

The development team behind 1-Bit Rogue deserves recognition for their work. Skipmore handled art direction, game design, graphics, and sound, while Kan Kikuchi contributed to programming and level design. NEP was responsible for the translation of the game.
